****Please have your child review daily lessons, past lessons, and homework via PearsonRealize.com

Unit 2 Instructional Focus: Students will multiply with whole numbers and decimals using concrete models and strategies based on place value and apply their knowledge of place value to convert units within a given measurement system. They will relate volume to multiplication and addition to solve real world problems.

Skills will include, but are not limited to:

Solving real world problems with whole numbers and decimal operations of multiplication and division using strategies such as the area model and place value understanding

Converting among different-sized standard measurement units (i.e., km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec) within a given measurement system with application to metric conversions

Applying concepts and formulas of volume using rectangular prisms within given parameters.

Fluency Expectation: Fluently multiply two two-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.

**** Topic 4 Assessment will be given the week of December 12-16, please check your child's agenda book for the exact date.****
